March 20, 2020 Coronavirus Update
The severity of SARS-COV-2 is starting to kick up in the United States with many of the large coastal cities experiencing the increased case load of the people affected. People in large cities are starting to self-quarantine and it is paramount that we do the same here in Knoxville.
Current Statistics:
- Knox County cases continue to rise
- Tennessee implementing stricter measures
- Healthcare systems preparing for surge
What you should do:
- Stay home as much as possible
- Practice social distancing (6 feet minimum)
- Wash hands frequently for 20+ seconds
- Avoid touching your face
- Monitor for symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath
